Vermicompost Facility Tour

What we will be covering:
The Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District has received a grant from the California Department of Food and Agriculture to fund a 3-year study into the effects of vermicompost application on vineyards with respect to greenhouse gas sequestration and overall soil health characteristics. This project is in collaboration with Mesa Vineyard Management, Castoro Cellars, Cal Poly, and Black Diamond Vermicompost . This workshop will demonstrate the process of vermicompost production on site at the Black Diamond Vermicompost Facility.
